Welcome, I am so glad that you are here! Starting therapy is a big and important step towards healing and I am here and happy to take that step with you. Life can be overwhelming, heavy, and too much to hold at times, which can impact our ability to regulate and process our feelings. I invite you into a warm and open space for us to explore these feelings together and empower you towards change. As a therapist, I strive to create an environment that is comfortable, safe, and affirming for us to work together in throughout this process.
I work with teens, young adults and adults and have experience working with a range of concerns and experiences including depression, anxiety, ADHD, ASD, substance use, and intimate partner violence. I enjoy working with LGBTQIA+ folks and believe in fostering a space that is affirming and inclusive of LGBTQIA+ identities.
Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all journey and I believe that each persons’ experiences and feelings are unique. Therefore, my theoretical foundation is multidimensional, individualized, and holistic. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness practices, and family systems therapy in my practice. I believe in using a strengths-based approach as everyone has different and important strengths that can help support them in this healing journey. While therapy often focuses on our struggles and challenges, as a therapist, I also believe that there is space for warmth, humor, and joy within therapy.
You are the expert of your own story and I look forward to holding space to explore and support you in making change.
