Mindfulness is the practice of bringing attention to one's internal and external experiences in that moment, and beginning to practice accepting those experiences without judgement. Mindfulness often reduces stress, depression, anxiety and allows someone to eat intuitively. Mindfulness can also improve relationships, and retrain the body to react differently in response to stress. Mindfulness can be achieved in a number of ways including deep breathing, meditation, walking, group therapy, coloring, and other simple exercises that can bring about full awareness. Mindfulness can be for most people as there is no one correct way to be mindful, aware, and non-judgemental.
