Frequently Asked Questions
We understand that starting therapy, or even considering it, can come with a lot of questions. Our hope is that this page helps you feel more informed, at ease, and supported as you explore what care might look like for you.
-
Getting started is simple. You can reach out to us through our contact form, call, or email. From there, our team will help guide you through the intake process and match you with a therapist who fits your needs and preferences.
-
You don’t have to figure that out alone. We’ll ask a few questions about what you’re looking for … your goals, preferences, and availability … and thoughtfully connect you with a clinician who aligns with you. You’re also welcome to explore our specialty pages to learn more about each therapist’s focus.
-
We offer both in-person and telehealth sessions, depending on your preference and therapist availability.
-
Your first session is a space to begin getting to know one another. Your therapist will ask about what brings you in, your history, and what you’re hoping for from therapy. You can go at your own pace. There’s no pressure to share everything all at once.
-
Therapy looks different for everyone. Some people come for short-term support around a specific issue, while others engage in longer-term work. We collaborate with you to find a pace and duration that feels right.
-
The relationship you have with your therapist matters deeply. If something doesn’t feel quite right, we welcome that conversation and can help you transition to another clinician within the practice.
-
Supporting someone you care about can feel overwhelming at times. If your loved one is open to therapy, you’re welcome to help them get started or explore options together.
You may also benefit from support yourself. Therapy can be a space to process your experience and learn ways to care for both your loved one and your own well-being.
You don’t have to navigate this alone.
-
We are a group practice with a range of specialties. Our clinicians support individuals, couples, and families, and work with concerns such as trauma, eating disorders, substance use, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and more.
If you’re looking for support in a specific area, we invite you to explore our specialty pages for more detailed information.
-
If we are not in-network with your plan, we can provide documentation (a superbill) that you may submit for potential reimbursement, depending on your benefits.
Please contact your insurance to learn the exact rules for out-of-network benefits.
-
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee.
-
Yes. Your privacy is very important to us. Everything shared in session is confidential, with a few legal and ethical exceptions (such as safety concerns), which your therapist will review with you.
-
We are not a crisis service. If you are experiencing an emergency or need immediate support, we encourage you to call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
We don’t offer medication management. Ask your therapist if you’d like referrals to medication providers.
We believe therapy should feel collaborative, respectful, and tailored to you. As a group practice, we’re able to offer a wide range of specialties while maintaining a shared commitment to compassionate, individualized care.
No matter what brings you here, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
If you have questions that aren’t answered here, we’re always happy to connect with you directly.
