I have learned that we live in a culture where trauma touches all lives, scarring some more than others. My personal and clinical experiences have intensified my passion to work with individuals touched by trauma. This resolve drives me as I seek to alleviate the suffering of trauma survivors, so they can uncover inner perseverance that will allow them to transcend the limits of personal tragedy and achieve the life to which they aspire.

I provide individual and family therapy to a diverse population of clients with trauma. My work includes facilitating therapy with trauma clients who had difficulty verbally recounting their traumatic experiences.

I learned that often with these clients, utilizing non-verbal modalities such as art therapy was more effective.

On a personal level, I feel particularly compelled to serve and advocate for vulnerable trauma survivors who have lost their voices. Prior to my immigration to the United States, I endured grave discrimination under an oppressive regime.

As a young child, I was continuously victimized, as I was unable to stand up and protect myself. My traumatic experiences have given me insight and empathy into the suffering of other people.

Although I am aware that my early experiences with trauma - in my case physical and emotional abuse, may not exactly mirror those of other trauma survivors, I have observed a universal response to trauma regardless of mode: silence, shame, denial, and despondency. Because of my experiences, I know this battle may be won.

I enjoy going to cafe shops, floral design, and listening to music.
