I have learned that we live in a culture where trauma touches all lives, scarring some more than others. My clinical experiences have intensified my passion to work with individuals touched by trauma. This resolve drives me as I seek to alleviate the suffering of trauma survivors, so they can uncover inner perseverance that will allow them to transcend the limits of personal tragedy and achieve the life to which they aspire.

I provide individual and family therapy to a diverse population of clients with trauma. My work includes facilitating therapy with trauma clients who had difficulty verbally recounting their traumatic experiences. Utilizing non-verbal modalities such as art therapy and somatic therapy often proved to be more effective with these clients.

Although I am aware that experiences with trauma may not all be the same, I have observed a universal response to trauma regardless of the mode: silence, shame, denial, and despondency. However, I have witnessed that this battle may be won when I focus on my client's strengths and resilience rather than their weaknesses.

I utilize an eclectic approach in therapy, meaning that I draw from a variety of different therapeutic techniques and theories, tailoring a treatment plan to best suit the unique needs of each client rather than relying solely on one specific approach. Some of the main approaches that I incorporate are psychodynamic theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, art therapy, family systems therapy, internal family systems, and mindfulness-based practices.

I have received my Certificate in Advanced Trauma Treatment Level I from Lisa Ferentz, who is an expert in trauma-informed care.

I enjoy going to café shops, designing floral arrangements, and listening to music.
